Uhh...I guess I just don't get Japanese fashion

The above image is the cover of a new Phaidon book that features Japanese ...uhm...fashion. Anyway, it's not at all shocking (though it is ridiculous). In fact, the only reason it's of interest at all is because of the photo below:

The Miss Havisham Native American brain injury victim calls herself Rose, while her over-processed, velvet stretch pant wearing zombie with tall boots and charm belt provided by DEB in the mid 1980s calls himself Giggles. Also, his scarf looks like something that would protect the top of his grandmother's toilet. These two remind me of the boxes of generic 20 year old feminine products.
