Can't anyone do their jobs anymore? Everyone we deal with seems to ultimately do something so incredibly ridiculous it makes me want to scream.

Verizon- ...I guess I don't even want to get into it about them since they are my commerce nemesis and I would go on for an hour, but they are incompetent.

Comcast- started charging us for their internet service, which we do not have and have never had

Social Security- took my application for a new card as well as my old card and then never gave me anything! When I went in today, the woman said something like "oh yeah, a lot of the time we only discover these problems when the people come in because the system froze their account." Unacceptable. Prior to my trip to their office, their 1-800 number was equally useless and said there hadn't been any changes in my account.

Voter Services- My last name was listed as my old last name + my new one in the system. I told the guy this is not at all a problem but he got all weird and made me fill out this form to make sure it was right even though I didn't care anyway.

Some Old Mailroom Douche at the Social Security building- This dude asked me to hold the elevator and then spoke over me to demand a floor when I tried to ask what floor he wanted. He even said something like "Press One." Ew, shut up. Then once the door closes he says "did you get your business taken care of?" I just looked at him in disgust that he would ask me such a thing and then nodded slightly. Who says these things?! Disgusting idiots say these things.

Our Bank- rushed us out of the office and never bothered to order our new checks which they said would be ordered and some papers we needed. Three weeks later we call them and they're like "whoops!" At least they gave us the checks for free.
