Kathy Griffin's houseguest

Nate and I watched an episode of that "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-list" a little while ago in which Kathy held a charity auction on ebay to spend a weekend at her house. The winning big was supposed to be $28,000 but all of the top 40 or so bidders dropped out, so this guy who had bid $5,000 won. This guy came off as bad as possible. He acted bored the entire time. He didn't know who any of the celebrities Kathy tried to introduce him to were at the black tie event they went to, including Jane Seymour. Seriously, who doesn't know who Jane Seymour is?! Kathy got all the celebrities to be in pictures with the guy and got the newspaper to interview him...he didn't seem to care. When they got home, she tried to give him her free gift bag from the event. He went through it and only ended up taking like one thing from it. She tried to get him to take the things home to give to his friends and he acted like none of the stuff was good enough. The next day she paid for all this fancy Hollywood stuff to try to give him a real LA experience. She got people to give them massages and spa treatments. She hired a professional cook to come to her house for him, but he didn't like any of the food. He didn't want to talk to her friends. He almost left without saying goodbye to Kathy and her husband and then tried to sneak back into the house to try and steal an ipod! He had taken a joke a friend of Kathy's made literally about her having a pile of ipods from gift bags. They had said goodbye to him and were checking where he had stayed. That's the only reason they caught him when he snuck back in! When they asked what he was doing he said "I want an ipod." Kathy had to tell him that had been a joke. Who sneaks back into the house of a celebrity where a reality tv show is being filmed to try and steal?!

This all seemed especially terrible because I was certain that if I was ever in Kathy's situation, the exact same thing would probably happen to me. It would probably be worse though, like I wouldn't catch the guy sneaking back in.
