student teaching

Looks like I'm going to be starting out with the elementary portion of my student teaching in August. At first I didn't even want to student teach with little kids, but now I realize I can make the best decision by working with all age groups. Plus, if I can become assertive enough to handle the little crazy ones, maybe handling the bigger crazy ones won't seem so daunting. I imagine that it's hard to seem self-conscious while telling a student to stop eating paste, so maybe I can make discipline an automatic reaction, like honking my car horn when someone cuts me off.
