no good, very bad day

I feel like that duckling.

Nate's car battery was dead this morning because there was something wrong with his brakelights and they stayed on all night. So he got me to drive him to meet this guy he works with someplace at 7am. I am never very happy at 7am and today was no exception. I was really getting my road rage on.

So I come home and go back to sleep for a while. I get up and work on my monster homework assignment that I should be doing right now. I get ready for my doctor's appointment and walk out the door holding the MAILBOX KEY! The mailbox keyring has two tiny keys on it. My keyring has like eleven keys. I don't know what I was thinking. However, I had nearly everything else in the world on my person. I called Nate and told him the problem (and cried slightly and pathetically). He called the apt complex while I called my doctor's office. Normally, having to reschedule would be no big deal except that I am going to be on temporary (read: crappy) health insurance starting April 1st. If I go to the doctor on the temp insurance I will be paying the whole thing. I tell the lady I'll call her back. Nate calls me back to tell me I have to walk over to the office, which is maybe two blocks. I start walking and reschedule the appointment for tomorrow. Of course, accepting this appointment means I am going to be like an hour and a half late for work. I called my manager and he approved it so that's good at least.

Walking to the office, I am really starting to feel the weight of this messenger bag filled with books and everything else in the world especially since it's in the 70s today. I get the key from the office and walk back and thankfully the key actually works. Did I mention some ridiculous man screamed "hey, sexy!" at me from some car? This is a very disjointed story so far.

I might not be in such a distraught mood if it werent for the fact that I have a giant homework assignment due Monday evening. I half expected to finish it today, but obviously that hasn't happened. If I had to venture a guess I would say I am 1/5th of the way through because I have one lesson out of the five required done. I did do the one that took the most work first, so I can pat myself on the back for that one. I know I can do it, but it's going to take some serious chocolate consumption.
