...it's enough to make a girl go all BRIDEZILLA

This past week, I had a message regarding some drawing at a bridal show my mom went to posing as me. Apparently, I had won some sort of trip. I got Nate to call back, and they said that my name had been pulled at the show to win this trip if we just went to a cooking show. From what we knew at that point, we thought it seemed like a good idea to attend. So I called back today to confirm and got some more details. It turns out airfare isn't included in the "package." I had no idea how much airfare costs, so I started to finally let myself get excited. Wow, we actually won something great! If you check out vivaresorts.com, you'll see there was a lot to get excited about.

When I started checking flight prices, I found out it was going to cost us over a thousand dollars to get there and back. I kept the dream alive and checked how much just the hotel would cost through travelocity, hoping it would be about 4 grand. Nope. The hotel itself cost about $600 for the whole thing. It is supposedly "all-inclusive," but I can't drink, eat, or snorkel enough to make someplace worth a grand to travel to for two days. So the "winning couple" pay the lion's share of this trip.

The wedding industry is such a cesspool. How many idiotic brides buy all the cookware people are ruthlessly shoving at them during the "cooking show" AND have to use the free trip as their honeymoon? I bet they have to stay in the rooms with the parking lot view and get their heirloom pearl earrings stolen by the maids. Obviously, we are probably not going to be attending and getting our "prize package."
